DAY 1. AREQUIPA- You’re going to be transferred to your hotel and after accommodation you will visit the museum “Santuarios Andinos” where you will find the Ice maiden girl “Juanita” who was a beautiful young girl sacrificed as an offering to the mountain gods. Overnight in Arequipa.
DAY 2-AREQUIPA-COLCA VALLEY- This day you will visit the country side of the city having a good view of its three nearest volcanoes, also visiting the Santa Catalina convent, with a beautiful architecture that dates back to the year 1600, and also a visit to the Main square Plaza de Armas, the Catedral a restored neoclassic building, also the Compañia convent and cloister with an impressive mestizo-barroc stile. Overnight in Arequipa.
DAY 3- AREQUIPA – COLCA CANYON – Excursion to the Colca Canyon, a wonderful place to view condors and a second deep canyon in the world. A hike along side the edge of the canyon will give you a good taste of hiking in the Andes , also you will enjoy its famous hot springs, and get to know the amiable local people, four hours drive from Arequipa, having Andean Landscapes along side the drive. This will also include a hike of 2 hours the first day. Overnight in Colca Canyon.
DAY 4. COLCA CANYON- PUNO- Transfer to Puno ( six hours drive), or to Arequipa (three hours drive).
